The D-Preg, S-Preg, and Y-Preg technologies developed by Fibroline use an alternating electric field to migrate functional powders and/or binders—either completely or locally—into porous substrates.
Compared to liquid-phase techniques using solvents, these dry technologies offer significant advantages. These are particularly related to their favorable environmental impact, the cost savings resulting from low energy consumption and reduced waste, as well as the improved quality and performance of the final product. Generally speaking, electrostatic technologies allow for the precise impregnation of the required amount of active material into the target areas of porous substrates.
