4.1.1 Inflatable or aerosupported structures

They account for around 10% of current textile architecture constructions. This type of structure can be used to cover small or large surfaces (sports areas, storage areas, outdoor pool covers).

Inflatable structures are based on elementary shapes (spheres, cylinders, domes, etc.). They are generally simple to calculate and design, but don't allow great freedom of form.
