1. Different types of fiberglass
Glass in the form of glass fibers is a material widely used to reinforce plastics and cementitious materials thanks to its specific properties, namely its mechanical properties, high electrical resistivity, and thermal and chemical inertia. Furthermore, unlike natural fibers such as flax and hemp, which are also used to reinforce thermoplastics and thermosetting materials, glass fibers are inert in humid environments and do not mold.
These glass fibers are used in a wide range of applications (interior and exterior construction, automotive, aerospace, marine, infrastructure, energy, leisure, etc.) due to their ease of shaping and their many properties (figure 1 ).
