Filament
The basic component of all fiberglass. A fiber consists of several filaments bonded together by a sizing agent. The filament is mainly characterized by its diameter.
Strain Point Temperature
Defined by ASTM C336, this is the temperature corresponding to a viscosity of η = 10, ,13.5 Pa.s.
Batch; vitrifiable mixture
Mixture of several raw materials.
Liquid resin molding; Liquid Composite Molding (LCM)
Generic term covering several processes for injecting or infusing resin into dry reinforcements, as described below.
