4. Master the obligations arising from a change of supplier

You have identified the obligations arising from a change of supplier within the meaning of the REACh regulations. Several situations are possible:

  • Your new supplier is based in the EEA but does not wish to register the substance. You risk a supply disruption at the end of his registration deadline under Article 23 of the REACh Regulation.

  • Your new supplier is based in the EEA and has (or will) register the substance. You need to ensure that your uses will be covered to avoid making a CSA. Your supply and use are assured.

  • Your new supplier is based outside the EEA but has appointed an exclusive representative. You need to ensure that you are properly identified in the exclusive representative's registration and that your uses will be covered to avoid making a CSA. Your supply...
