Distributor

Any natural or legal person established in the Community, including a retailer, who carries out only the operations of storing and placing on the market a substance, on its own or in a mixture, on behalf of third parties.

European Economic Area

All members of the European Union, plus Ireland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Chemical safety assessment

Chemical safety assessment is the process of determining the risk posed by a substance and, as part of the exposure assessment, developing assessment scenarios including risk management measures to control these risks.

Manufacturer

Natural or legal person established in the Community who manufactures a substance in the Community.
