2. Check your waste classification against the waste nomenclature
You must now assign your waste a 6-digit regulatory code. Waste is classified according to its origin and composition. The procedure given in the insert above tells you in which order to scan the various headings to comply with the indications given by the waste nomenclature of Code de l’environnement (appendix II of article R. 541-8).
You will identify it in the nomenclature (step 1) using a code marked with an asterisk, if it is considered hazardous in step 1.
