2. Take a tour of the facility

This phase can last from one to three days, depending on the size and organization of the company. These days can be spaced out to allow your contacts to gather and provide you with the necessary information from one visit to the next.

You'll start with an opening meeting with key contacts to :

• explain your approach;

• obtain their cooperation and possibly permission to take photographs;

• explain any technical or organizational elements you don't yet understand;

• explain the diversity of forms that chemical substances can take in the workplace;

• validate the schedule.
