3. Anticipate the schedule and conditions of Annex XIV
Appendix XIV defines the authorization timetable.
The expiry date is the date beyond which the substance can no longer be marketed or used without prior authorization.
The latest application date is the date by which an application for authorization must be filed; later filing is still possible, but will result in a ban on marketing and use between the expiry date and the date on which authorization is granted.
Anticipate these legal deadlines, as well as the time required for the procedure, to avoid any interruption in supply or use should authorization be granted.
Estimate the time you'll need to put together the dossier, depending on the content envisaged: with or without a socio-economic study, with or without updating the chemical safety report...
