Authorized ELV centers (what the general public refers to as "junkyards") are legally obliged to depollute end-of-life vehicles (ELVs). Although this activity is beneficial for the environment, it also exposes employees to chemical risks that are not always fully understood. This fact sheet provides an overview. It is aimed at center operators, prevention specialists and consultants interested in the subject.
