1. List pollution control techniques
According to ADEME, there are between 300,000 and 400,000 polluted sites in France. These sites include industrial wastelands, disused service stations, mines and slag heaps. The decontamination business is therefore an essential part of the economy, helping to restore these sites.
There are various techniques for cleaning up polluted sites and soils. The main techniques are :
or directly on the polluted site;
or off-site, after excavation of polluted soil to a treatment center.
Remediation techniques involve three different processes.
Physico-chemical processes: destruction by chemical oxidation, soil washing, inerting by precipitation, surfactant to separate the pollutant from its environment....
