2. Involving employees in PPE selection

Very often, employees are not involved in the choice of PPE to be worn. However, experience shows that motivation is a key factor in the success of a safety management policy. Involving employees in the choice of their PPE will help to improve their willingness to wear it.

For example, a study has shown that fogging is the main reason why employees don't wear safety glasses. Involving them in the choice of goggles, and in particular in the testing of several models, will enable them to define the most comfortable PPE, which does not inconvenience the employee (absence of fogging) and which does not generate another risk.
