Asbestos regulations require that respiratory protective equipment be worn by employees, depending on the level of dust and the risk assessment. To achieve this, the employer must choose protective equipment models whose effectiveness guarantees that the concentration of asbestos in the air breathed by the employee is below the occupational exposure limit value (OELV). This fact sheet provides an update on the choice of such equipment.
