CMR agent
carcinogen: a substance or mixture that can cause cancer or increase its incidence.
mutagenic agent: substances and mixtures that can cause hereditary genetic defects or increase their frequency.
reproductive toxicant: a substance or mixture that may produce or increase the frequency of non-heritable adverse effects in the offspring, or impair reproductive functions or capacity.
VLEP
Limit of the time-weighted average concentration of an ACD or CMR agent in the air in a worker's breathing zone over a given reference period. At regulatory level, a distinction is made between the 8-hour VLEP and the short-term VLEP (reference period: 15 minutes).
