1. Who is the safety advisor?
A safety advisor for the transport of dangerous goods is an individual who has passed an examination organized by the Comité interprofessionnel pour le développement de la formation dans les transports de marchandises dangereuses (CIFMD). The safety advisor certificate is valid for 5 years.
To pass the exam, you must hold a training certificate issued by your employer, or by a QUALIOPI-certified training organization, although no specific training program is defined in the regulations. In order to pass the exam, you must have a thorough knowledge of the regulations governing the transport of dangerous goods, and be able to handle the structure of the ADR with ease.
