2. Partial exemptions from ADR application
There are three ways to benefit from partial exemptions from ADR:
when the dangerous goods are contained in unit packagings of very small capacity (of the order of a milliliter or a milligram), they are referred to as dangerous goods "packed in excepted quantities";
when the dangerous goods are contained in small-capacity unit packagings (of the order of a liter or kilogram), they are referred to as dangerous goods "packed in limited quantities";
when the overall quantity of dangerous goods loaded per transport unit does not exceed a certain threshold, whatever the unit capacity of the packagings, these are referred to as dangerous goods "transported in limited quantities".
