1. Are you affected by these regulations?

You have obligations in the following cases.

  • If you manufacture or import a substance or mixture of substances onto the European market. You are obliged to classify, label and package according to CLP, and also to notify the classification of certain substances to ECHA.

  • If you are a chemical distributor. You may be required to relabel and pack according to CLP. You can rely on the information provided by your supplier, in particular on the classification he applies.

  • If you place on the market a mixture that is hazardous to the environment or to health, you are required to notify data to poison control centers, and to include a UFI number on your mixture (see How to notify your UFI numbers via the IUCLID cloud tool?
