1. Check if you qualify for registration exemptions

As a downstream user, you are not required to register a substance. However, you can analyze your situation and determine whether you are concerned by uses that are exempt from registration under REACh.

These are the following exemptions:

• if the substance is used in the composition of foodstuffs intended for human or animal consumption in accordance with règlement n° 178/2002 ;

• if the substance is used in a medicinal product as part of the règlement n° 726/2004 ,
