7. Mistakes to avoid

7.1 Do not obstruct inspection officers

All regulations governing discharges into water provide for the possibility of planned or unannounced checks by government officials, commissioned laboratories or bailiffs. These controls entail obligations:

  • information for staff involved in receiving visitors;

  • accessibility and safety of measurement point discharge outlets;

  • the design of structures enabling the installation of sampling and measurement equipment.
