4.1 Pollution prevention measures applicable to ICPEs

  • Resistance to chemical action, watertightness of pipes, tanks and reservoirs.

  • Restrictions on underground tanks and pipes: preference for overhead systems, special requirements for underground systems.

  • Limiting stocks of hazardous products.

  • Chemical storage and waste disposal areas must be contained and, if possible, covered to prevent pollution from rainwater runoff.
