2. Have pre-selected PPE tested
As soon as the first PPEs have been pre-selected on the basis of the specifications and received on site, you will involve future users in fitting and testing.
Appoint a "group of testers" familiar with the workstation and the PPE already provided. Ideally, you should have as many testers as possible, to obtain the most objective feedback possible.
Gather first impressions and criticisms: aesthetics, color, weight, size, ease/difficulty of storage... are all parameters that will help the user decide whether or not to adopt the proposed PPE. This stage can be carried out during safety meetings, talks or field visits. Depending on the number of testers, it can also be collected in writing.
