5. Mistakes to avoid

5.1 Don't automate the method

  • At least initially, don't automate the method. A large part of the value of MSP lies in its appropriation by operators. Manual implementation encourages autonomy on an individual level, and dialogue and experience-sharing on a collective level.

  • Don't try to apply the method to all product features. Apply the MSP to the one or two features most important for quality.
