One of the parameters influencing quality control is the human factor: when control is carried out by one or more operator(s), it is imperative to ensure that the control procedure is reproducible and repeatable.
An operator visually checking the absence of burrs at the injection point of a series of plastic parts. The repeatability of the check will depend on :
the optical tool used (microscope, magnifying glass, light, etc.) and its setting (objective magnification);
the speed of the metal parts;
eye strain ;
disturbing external events (noise, movement, discussion, etc.) ;
reduced attention span.
