7.1 Don't systematically calibrate all your instruments
Not all instruments need to be connected. They can be validated with strategies other than periodic calibration.
In some cases, connection is not necessary. For example, when the stability of a process is to be guaranteed, it is sufficient to ensure the stability of the measurement process, which does not require the equipment to be connected.
