Is it compulsory to use a COFRAC-accredited service provider?
The answer to this question depends on the environment. ISO 9001, for example, does not formally require the use of accredited subcontractors. ISO TS 16949 (used in the automotive sector) or ISO 17025 (for measurement and testing laboratories), on the other hand, do. You should therefore refer to your own standards, bearing in mind that if the laboratory is not accredited, it is up to the customer to ensure its competence.
Do all measuring instruments need to be connected?
