Effect of uncertainty (cf. ISO 9000).
Note: an effect is a deviation, positive or negative, from an expectation.
Note: risk is often expressed in terms of the combination of the consequences of an event (including changes in circumstances) and the likelihood of its occurrence.
Check
Confirmation by objective evidence that specified requirements have been met (cf. ISO 9000).
Validation
Confirmation by objective evidence that the requirements for a specific use or intended application have been met (cf. ISO 9000).
