3. How can the BCP evolve?

3.1 Test the BCP

Once the BCP has been drawn up and its ability to be implemented guaranteed, its effectiveness needs to be verified by regular testing. Exercises help to ensure that continuity measures and procedures are known and understood, and can be deployed within the prescribed timeframe.

A crisis management exercise should be combined with a BCP implementation exercise, to ensure that the two plans are consistent and interact effectively.
