1. What is the legal and regulatory framework for your odor emissions?

1.1 How do you define "smell"?

The sense of smell is one of our five senses, and a complex and powerful detection tool. Smell is a perception resulting from the interaction between a chemical molecule called "odorant" and the olfactory mucosa. This triggers a nerve impulse, which is sent to the olfactory bulb and other parts of the brain, which interpret the message. It is this interpretation that is the most complex, as it is unique to each individual, depending on their history and memories. Indeed, an odor may be perceived as unbearable by one individual and bearable, or even not unpleasant, by another.
