4. How can you identify the issues surrounding your industrial site?

The process of identifying the issues surrounding your industrial site can be divided into two phases.

The first phase performs a rapid, global analysis of the environment in which the site is located. It considers :

  • the municipalities concerned ;

  • the number of large, sensitive establishments in the area (university hospitals, educational centers, shopping malls, etc.);

  • approximate number of people concerned (resident population, potential population, etc.) ;

  • the major infrastructures concerned ;

  • other important issues involved (natural areas, industrial zones, special heritage, etc.).
