2. Break down the risk analysis into several stages

It's not possible to carry out a risk analysis using a single method. A risk analysis must be carried out in three stages:

  • a hazard identification phase ;

  • a preliminary risk analysis sentence ;

  • a detailed risk analysis phase.

Each stage in the risk analysis process will be matched by one or more analysis methods to suit your needs.
