Hazard studies: fault tree (ADR detailed risk analysis method)

In hazard studies, the fault tree method is commonly used in the detailed risk analysis phase to analyze the combinations of causes leading to a dreaded event. To fully understand the method, you need to :

• understand the process of building a fault tree;

• identify the composition of the combinations of causes leading to the feared event (represented at the top of the fault tree);

• quantify the fault tree.
