4. Our advice

4.1 Before submitting your registration file to the prefecture, make sure you comply with the general requirements for your category of facility.

To do this, you need to know the nomenclature heading to which your facility belongs. A decree of general requirements has been adopted for each classification heading in the nomenclature of classified installations.

In the case of an existing installation, prior knowledge of these general requirements will enable you to budget and plan for the improvements needed to bring it up to standard.
