photobioreactor; photobioreactor (PBR)

Device used for microalgae cultivation. Cultivation system for microalgae designed to effectively control growth conditions such as pH, temperature, light source, mineral nutrient addition, CO ₂ supply, among others.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

A method that allows, in an objective but indirect way, the estimation and evaluation of the impacts that a product or service may have on the environment at all stages of its life cycle (production, use, and end of life).
