Combustion agent
Said of a body which, when combined with another, gives rise to combustion of the latter.
Fuel
Material capable of burning on contact with oxygen or an oxygen-containing gas, producing a usable quantity of heat.
Lower explosion limit
Minimum concentration of oxidizer by volume in the mixture above which it can explode. For dusts, this is the minimum explosive concentration (MEC).
Upper explosion limit
Maximum concentration of oxidizer by volume in the mixture below which it can explode. In the case of dusts, the maximum explosive concentration (MEC) is used, but this is rarely used, as it implies too large quantities in the air.
