3.1 As part of the public inquiry, pay particular attention to informing the public about major risks
The operation of a classified facility subject to the regime of authorization with servitudes (AS) is characterized by the existence of major risks. The consultation procedure that precedes the Prefect's decision to open your facility must enable the public to be informed of the nature and extent of these risks, so that they can make informed observations.
However, this information can be frightening and/or misunderstood. It is therefore advisable to ask the investigating commissioner to use his powers to organize public meetings or visits to the future operating site, so that you can answer the public's questions about major risks.
