Accident

An accident is a sudden event with undesirable effects on people, property and the environment, causing damage.

Incident

Fact, event of a secondary nature, generally unfortunate, that can disrupt the normal course of a situation.

Prevention

Prevention is an attitude or set of measures designed to prevent a situation (at work, in the environment, etc.) from deteriorating, or an accident from occurring. It consists in limiting the risk, i.e. prevention proper: measures aimed at preventing a risk by eliminating or reducing the probability of occurrence of the dangerous phenomenon.
