Customer

A person who asks a subcontractor to carry out services or work on his behalf.

Main contractor

Person who has undertaken to provide services or carry out work for the project owner.

Project owner

Person to whom you are committed to provide services or work.

Market

Agreement by which a project owner orders services or work.

Private market

Agreement by which a private-sector client (e.g. a company) orders services or work.

Public contract

Agreement by which a public-sector client (e.g. a municipality) commissions services or work.
