4. Conclusion

Adopting green technologies to help reduce environmental impacts is not just an option for companies, it's inevitable. Industries need to rethink their processes and supply chains to adapt to the new constraints of a resource-poor economy. Ecodesign for the textile industry means adopting the most virtuous technologies, both in terms of energy efficiency and raw materials and water management. This change of mentality must also be implemented at industrial level by extending product lifetimes, while consumers must become aware of the need to increase the useful life of their textiles. Alternatives exist and must be taken into account in product design, while innovative technologies such as waterless dyeing and recycling processes are evolving rapidly.
