4. Mistakes to avoid

4.1 Don't start your project by planning tasks

It may seem obvious, but starting the description of a project by creating a task schedule is a mistake.

Before defining tasks, it is a good idea to define what they will be used for: to create the project's product. The first thing to do is therefore not to define the work to be done, but the project's "deliverables," i.e., the expected results.
