3. Sharing resources

When you know that project resources will be working on several projects, you need to enter the resource list in a dedicated project, called [Resource List] by MS Project. Make sure you name it so as not to confuse the Resources file with the Project file. This list of resources must be linked to the projects on which you intend to use them.

It is then necessary to plan the use of resources in borrower projects. Open the borrower project, and display the [Resource table]of the consolidated project ([View] tab). In the [Resource] tab of the ribbon, click on [Share resources] to open the dialog box. It is always advisable to give priority to the list of resources in the consolidated file (lender file). Click OK to confirm.
