1. Mastering the concept of project

There are several definitions of what a project is. Here's one: "A project is a temporary organization created for the purpose of delivering one or more defined products within a specific, non-repetitive framework".

The project is an initiative that clearly distinguishes itself from daily work by the following criteria:

  • a project implies change and evolution;

  • a project is temporary;

  • a project is transfunctional;

  • a project is unique;

  • a project involves uncertainty.

These criteria can be applied to all types of project, in all fields.
