There are several definitions of what a project is. Here's one: "A project is a temporary organization created for the purpose of delivering one or more defined products within a specific, non-repetitive framework".
The project is an initiative that clearly distinguishes itself from daily work by the following criteria:
a project implies change and evolution;
a project is temporary;
a project is transfunctional;
a project is unique;
a project involves uncertainty.
