4. New architecture and FPGA
4.1 Architecture enhancement
The aim of this section is to present new guidelines for securing electrical/electronic/programmable electronic (E/E/EP) system architectures.
The first involves the implementation of new architectures that enable the use of COTS (Commercial off-the-shelf) and/or introduce a high degree of independence between software applications and hardware architecture. The second is the implementation of new technologies such as FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays), multi-core computing units and virtualization. The final direction is to introduce security-confidentiality (in the sense of SECURITY) into electrical/electronic/programmable electronics architectures.
