Most forms of silicone are used in manufacturing or maintenance:

  • cold-curing rubbers: cast-in-place seals, profiled seals on parts, injected seals for watertightness, protection ;

  • gluing headlights ;

  • prefabricated joints in EVC ;

  • ignition cables and spark plug caps with their various components: core conductor grades, insulation cables, spark plug caps;

  • cables for lighting, heating, defrosting ;

  • safety cables for trains and subways ;

  • hoses: rising under-bonnet temperatures and the need for maintenance-free durability have led to the use of silicones, first for buses and trucks, then for light vehicles;
