2. Structuring the method around functional analysis

2.1 Using functional specifications

During preliminary studies, the project is defined very succinctly. You will be familiar with :

  • the basic need ;

  • main function(s) ;

  • some secondary functions ;

  • major constraints.

The analogical method is there to help you estimate the cost on the basis of these basic assumptions alone.
