Ifu has gradually developed specific applications of the Umberto ® software based on AFME. The purpose of these paragraphs is not to detail each of these applications, but to give a foretaste of the range of possibilities.

5.1 Life cycle assessment (LCA)

Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a multi-criteria method for analyzing the environmental impacts of a system over its entire life cycle. LCA has been the subject of international standardization work defining its methodological framework and best practices (see ISO 14040:2006 and ISO 14044:2006)
