Umberto ® is a software package developed by Ifu (Institut für Umweltinformatik – Institute for Environmental Informatics, based in Hamburg), in collaboration with Ifeu (Institut für Energie und Umweltforschung – Institute for Research in Energy and Environmental Sciences, close to the University of Heidelberg). The structuring idea of Umberto ® is to use Petri nets for AFME and LCA.
