4.1 Making the most of exploratory research
The construction of a bibliography should not be the result of chance. It must be based on a rigorous and systematic research method:
let the interface guide you ;
encourage the use of controlled vocabulary (from a thesaurus, etc.);
use the text or graphic filters provided rather than your own terms ;
adopt an iterative, heuristic approach by capitalizing on your key terms;
save your search equations for future reference.
