2. Description of the eco-innovation approach based on a coherent set of IEMs

The first part defined a set of 7 eco-ideation stimulation mechanisms, while specifying the need to propose mechanisms at a "meso" level. We now turn to the operational approach of the stimulation mechanisms, the generic structure of the mechanisms, and a detailed presentation of each mechanism.

2.1 Operational approach to IEM use

The proposed eco-innovation approach is based on the set of 7 IEMs, and is structured around 3 generic steps to effectively support the designer (figure 2 ).
