4. Conclusion

One of the most important challenges facing industrial digital simulation today remains its practical use and possible developments in connection with the digital sciences, in particular data science.

  • As far as industrial simulation practices are concerned, it should be remembered that engineers, driven by construction requirements (safety, reliability and profitability), have given themselves the scientific means to construct the framework for using this technique. Defining rules of good practice, they use digital simulation without any detailed knowledge of the algorithmic subtleties, which are the property and exclusivity of the tools' editors.
