4. Description of the I2I method

The software and hardware development of a system integrating VR cannot be conceived without analyzing human behavior in a virtual world. That's why it's essential to work with ergonomists. Their role is to specify :

  • psychophysical characteristics of the user's senses and motor responses ;

  • the conceptual and pragmatic differences between schemes and metaphors used in the system ;

  • Behavioral Software Aids to help the system user;

  • the limits of human behaviour in relation to the solutions adopted by the system designers, in particular the human capacity to resolve any sensorimotor inconsistencies
